#HushNoMore

HUSH

Warning: this short film contains violence, sexual assault, and offensive language.  Some viewers might find this triggering or distrubing.

The number of stories I come across daily where women are continuously manipulated and abused by their partners is tragic and unjust. The psychological and physical effects on the victims and their children are devastating.  Most survivors of domestic abuse suffer in silence due to social stigma or threats from the abuser. And those who dare speak out are often met with disbelief and ridicule from friends and family.

It’s time for CHANGE!

#HUSHNOMORE CALL OUT

This is a call out for people who have experienced domestic abuse to share their experiences to:

- give survivors/victims a voice and acknowledgement for their traumatic experiences

- giving hope to victims by making them aware that they are not alone

- leaning into each other for their strength and courage

- to raise awareness on the depth of the epidemic situation

- championing for  changes on the  societal and governmental level

Sharing your story means you can help raise awareness of the prevalence and insidious nature of domestic abuse.  Most of all, it is through acknowledgement and solidarity that healing and transformation can take place.

If you are willing to share your experience with us, please get in touch with us at info@metawakening.
